Stayed as a family with 2 small children in excellent family room with great flat screen tv, wifi, hairdryer, refreshment tray on request at reception, good bathroom. Very helpful staff. Indian restaurant in hotel serves very good food and made children very welcome. Can not be beaten on location, as literally just across the road from Gloucester Road tube station which is approx. just 3 stops from Paddington train station with no changes, very easy to get to. Great for visiting the museums, Kensington Palace, Harrods and Hyde Park. Would highly recommend and would definitely stay again. Yes there are several VERY nice looking hotels close by and they also charge VERY high prices, plus you get charged for the wifi which you don't at the Montana. If you are in London you don't want to sit in your hotel room all day do you. This is just a perfect place to choose.

We 4 ladies (2 18 and 21 and 2 mid 40"s) and stayed at the Montana Hotel in Kensington. It was very good overall. Right across from a tube station(Gloucester rd.) with 2 grocery stores nearby and 2 Starbucks and a 5 minute walk to a laundrymat. Thefront desk staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was the small narrow one pictured on one ladies previous post but it was fine for my daughter and I as the bathroom was quite large. The hotel is only a 7 minute walk to Kensington Palace, Gardens and plenty of teen girl shopping nearby!! the breakfast was just toast and cereal and juice, tea unlimited and good enough several mornings for us. We did 2 Golden bust tours from the hotel and were very happy with both the guides and the meals included. We arrived Friday April 17 in the rain, then had perfect spring weather for the rest of the 10 days. On the Tuesday we travelled by train to Buxton to visit Chatsworth on the Wednesday, however, when we arrived at the Buckingham Hotel with nothing to do at 2 p.m. on Tuesday the front desk receptionist suggested a climb past the Poole caverns to something called Solomon's Temple. It was so worth it and my 18 year old daughter called this the best part of her entire trip. A small fort set high in with peak district surrounding you with magnificent views. Chatsworth was beautiful my personal favourite of the trip, a must see for all romantic English lovers. We took the Eurostar to Paris on the Friday, the train was fine the Metro dirty and smelly, the Eiffel tower up the stairs was lovely though tiring, walked from there to the Musee D'Orsay then the Louvre the on to the Notre Dame and back the same day to London, finishing with high tea at the Orangery at Kensington Palace. The trip overall was wonderful and I cannot wait to go again and see the things I only got to glimpse at.

We stayed recently in your hotel and it was a very pleasant stay. Room and bathroom clean - staff was kind. I will certainly come again.

Marge and I had a good and safe journey back to the USA after a most enjoyable holiday in the UK. As always you provided us with an excellent "home away from home." We especially want to thank you for finding room for us when we had to return to London a day before our reservation. We would also like to thank the housekeeping crew for keeping our room neat and tidy and well supplied with coffee, cream, and sugar. We hope to return this fall but, if not then, next spring and you can be assured we will stay nowhere else.
